Mandatory Conservation

North Gualala Water Company will impose its Mandatory Water Conservation Program (MWCP) when stream flows in the North Fork of the Gualala River are at or below specific levels:

  • 41 cubic feet (cfs) from November 15th through February 29th;
  • 21 cfs from March 1st through May 31st; and
  • 4.25 cfs from June 1st through November 14th

This plan was approved by the California Utilities Commission on September 11, 2014 and can be found here. A summary of the water use restrictions and fines can be found here (también disponible en español).

When it is imposed, customers will be notified via website updates/posts, Facebook posts, and automated phone calls no later than the first business day after which the stream flows meet the MWCP levels.
